PERSONAL TRAINER

Bod Squad Fitness is looking for a personal trainer!

Who we are

Bod Squad's mission is to lead the active aging movement in the Greater Treasure Valley by empowering adults 50+ to build the strength, confidence, and community they need to live life on their own terms. Through in-home coaching, studio training, affordable small-group programs, and a thriving Nordic Walking club, we are making healthy aging more accessible, more personal, and more impactful than ever before.

We exist to empower people to pursue their dreams and embrace life's challenges with confidence and enthusiasm.

We serve adults 50+ who want to stay active, independent, strong, and confident for life.

Many of our clients are noticing that daily activities are getting harder. They want to keep traveling, playing with grandchildren, walking confidently on uneven ground, getting up and down from the floor, and continuing to live fully in their own homes and lives.

The role

We are hiring a Personal Trainer for a part-time, mobile in-home coaching role in Boise and the Greater Treasure Valley.

This is not a casual trainer role. This is a relationship-based coaching role for someone who can work independently, show up consistently, coach safely, and help older adults build real strength, balance, and confidence.

You will primarily work in clients’ homes. Over time, this role may also support studio training, small-group training, and the broader Bod Squad community.

What this role is responsible for

Your mission in this role is to create life-changing coaching experiences that help clients achieve measurable results, build lasting confidence, and develop habits that empower them to pursue bigger goals.

You will be responsible for:

  • Keeping client attendance at 88% on track

  • Maintaining a 90% client renewal rate

  • Generating one client spotlight each month

  • Generating one referral each month

You will also be expected to:

  • Deliver safe, individualized coaching sessions

  • Protect client trust and privacy

  • Communicate clearly and proactively

  • Complete accurate notes and progress tracking

  • Build strong client relationships that support retention and referrals

  • Show up prepared, on time, and fully present

What good looks like here

Success in this role looks like:

  • Clients feel safe, seen, encouraged, and challenged appropriately

  • You coach with professionalism in the privacy of clients’ homes

  • You follow the program, watch movement quality closely, and make good coaching decisions in real time

  • You communicate clearly, confirm appointments, and follow through

  • You treat sessions like commitments, not suggestions

  • You build trust that leads to renewals, referrals, and long-term client relationships

This role is a fit for someone who likes autonomy but does not need hand-holding to stay organized, prepared, and accountable.

What we are looking for

Required:

  • Strong personal training or coaching ability

  • Confidence coaching adults 50+ or the willingness and maturity to learn quickly

  • Clear verbal communication

  • Reliability and professionalism

  • Ability to work independently across multiple client locations

  • Clean, reliable personal vehicle

  • English fluency

  • Comfort taking clear notes on a tablet or phone-based system

Bonus credentials:

  • CPR / First Aid certification

  • Nutrition certification

  • Yoga certification

  • Corrective exercise training

  • Active-aging related education or experience

Compensation, schedule, and perks

  • Pay: $25–$30 per hour

  • Type: Part-time

  • Schedule: Mostly Monday through Friday, daytime hours between 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.

  • Some days may be half days

  • Saturdays are optional

Perks:

  • High schedule autonomy

  • Flexible daytime hours

  • Meaningful one-on-one work

  • The opportunity to coach in the privacy and comfort of clients’ homes

  • A mission-driven role helping older adults stay active and independent

Culture fit and how we hire

Our Core Values:

  • Community
What it means: leadership, genuine connection, celebrating progress, giving back, supporting one another.
What it isn't: cliques, cutthroat competition, gossip, and empty cheerleading.

  • Consistency
What it means: progress over perfection, showing up, having fun, small wins that compound over time.
What it isn't: perfection, fads or quick fixes, checking off boxes without a purpose, one and done, or on and off mentality.

  • Freedom
What it is: Having health, time, and energy and resources to choose how you live.
What it isn't: Ignoring your health and responsibilities, no budget, living without a plan.

  • We are intentional about how we hire.

  • Our process is thorough on purpose. We are slow to hire because culture fit matters, client trust matters, and this role requires real follow-through. You will be asked to show your skills, reflect on your values, and demonstrate how you handle responsibility, communication, and coaching under pressure.

This is a strong fit for someone who wants meaningful work, high standards, autonomy, and a real connection to the people they serve.
